Continuing my obession with denim lately..here is this awesome 90's jumper. On it's own it's a little Blossom, but with a little bleach treatment, the hem cut off and frayed, and a few strategic holes, this thing would be out of this world. But please, fray with caution...

DIY: Denim Shorts
For awhile I wanted nothing to do with denim shorts. I thought they were incredibly boring. I've since wised up and learned how to make them my own, and for practically nothing. I went to a clothing swap in Brooklyn recently and found 2 dingy old pairs of Levis. One was a well worn and faded bootcut pair that screamed 5 years ago. Another was an old dirty men's pair. While all the other swappers ignored them by, I quickly grabbed them up, realizing their potential. Here is the final product..
All it took to make these were some studs, pliers for fastening, a bucket of bleach, and a pair of scissors. This is a great project for all those old jeans everyone has laying around that they never managed to throw out. And if you don't have any on hand, just head to your local thrift store. They are always swimming in old Levi's.
P.S. If anyone wants to buy these, I'm selling them in my Etsy shop

Rubber Tires
English Retreads is one of the coolest brands I've seen in awhile. All of their products are handcrafted from reclaimed truck inner tubes and made in Boulder, Colorado. Everything is 100% vegan, and most importantly, completely awesome.

I love how this dress gives you the look of 3 seperate pieces in one. Makes it that much easier to wear. And it's only 99 cents at the moment! Which means more money to spend on accessories..
Easter Egg
Was feeling Springy yesterday on my way to a graduation party despite pouring rain all day. I turned this vintage denim skirt into a dress with the simple addition of a belt. I added some ripped tights and this awesome vintage pink cotton motorcycle jacket for some extra craziness.

Exhibit A
So I was checking out the latest Urban Outfitters website and I felt a deep connection to this little baby. Some kind of odd nostalgia that reminds me of when I was 8 I think. And at $58, not a bad price either. But for my poor ass, it's unfortunately out of the question. So what's a monetarily-challenged fashion-addict to do? Ebay to the rescue!

So there you go. Buying vintage ensures you end up with something completely unique and awesome, usually costs less, and is much nicer to the environment! Don't blame me, however, for any random middle school flashbacks.
